I joined ATS Partners in September 2020, bringing with me the experience of a 40 year career in public practice. Upon the merger of ATS Partners & STM, I joined STM as a Manager in 2021.
I have extensive experience with all facets of compliance & tax planning for most businesses, from a sole trader to the larger company, with a solid knowledge of current tax legislation. One of my strengths is establishing great working relationships with my clients & I look forward to doing the same with new clients.
What I love about my work is the sense of satisfaction that comes from a job well done for my clients. Focusing on client needs & delivering great service, whether it be a five minute follow up phone call, or a more complex situation that needs some time & research to find the best possible outcome.
STM Partners is a great place to work with a relaxed atmosphere. The support I have received from my new co-workers has been fabulous.
I am a country girl at heart, a farmer's daughter. I was born in Corowa & grew up on the family farm, first at Rand & then Balldale. I came to Albury to commence my high school education at Albury High, boarding at the girl's hostel at Adamshurst in David Street. After high school I continued my tertiary education at the University of New England in Armidale (it was as far away from home as I could get!). On graduation I returned to Albury to commence work & have been here ever since.
The area has so much to offer on all levels. Access to the great wineries of North East Victoria, dining out at great restaurants & or going to the pub, cooling dips in the Murray River at Noreuil on a hot summers day, day trips to Falls Creek in the winter, the Hume Weir. It is so easy to be a tourist in your home town.
I have three adult sons, who, being thoroughly spoiled by their mother, still live at home, along with two dogs, a cat & a budgie. It can get a bit rowdy at times! I go to the gym regularly, as well as take morning walks. I relax with a good book, a crossword puzzle, & maybe the odd glass of red in front of the TV!
I am involved in the local rugby league community, having been on the committee of the Albury Thunder for a number of years. I follow the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL. I am a past member of the Board of Directors of The Personnel Group, having served in the role for 20 plus years, and I am currently a member of the Board of Directors for Yes Unlimited who provide a range of services to mainly young people in the local area.
I have for many years advocated that 'accountants aren't boring'. The people of STM prove that.
